From loading up the truck with boards to coordinating with local surf shops, every detail is meticulously planned to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

The Journey Begins
Solid Surfboards started with a simple yet profound mission: to create high-quality surfboards while maintaining a strong connection with the surf community. The tour’s humble beginnings trace back to 2011 when founder Dan O’Hara, after a challenging surf expo experience, decided to personally visit surf shops along the East Coast. Armed with 14 boards and a 2008 Prius, Dan’s journey from Maine to Florida was pivotal in establishing Solid Surfboards’ presence and commitment to quality.
Why the East Coast?
The East Coast surf community holds a special place our heart here at Solid Surfboards. Dan O’Hara’s passion for surfing and shaping began here, making this an annual sabbatical that has become part of the brands DNA. The East Coast is known for its diverse and dedicated surfers, making it an essential stop for Solid Surfboards. The Solid Surfboards team is looking forward to sharing stories, waves, and their latest innovations with both old friends and new faces along the coast.
