Trust me, when our shaper, Dan O’Hara, first handed me our Bento Box model to give it a spin I was just a perplexed by its as it’s shape as the rest of you. But this board brought a joy out of surfing small waves that I haven’t felt in years! This board features attributes from other models such as the concave deck, deep single through the tail and aft placed fins. The concave deck helps hide volume as well as increase control over such a wide board as the rider has a lower center of gravity with feet recessed into the board. The low rails allow for increased sensitivity and performance considering this boards super high volume and width. The deep single directs water flow through the tail increasing drive.
This board is our “Cult Classic” for a reason. It’s our quirky twist on a classic mini Simmons with the purpose of getting you out there when the conditions just don’t want to cooperate. Grab one off the rack at a local surf shop near you a make your summer that much better.
